AIR CONDITIONING MAINTENANCE CHECKLIST
1. Condenser Coil Cleaned as required
Dirty condenser coils raise refrigerant pressure higher than needed, increasing your electric bill.
2. Refrigerant Charge Checked by superheat/subcooling method (Thermocharging)
A low or high refrigerant charge can easily go unnoticed and increase operating costs up to 30%%. An improper charge can cause compressor shutdown.
3. Controls & Safeties Inspected & tested
Controls and safeties that do not function properly can increase operation cost and cause other components to fail.
4. Relays & Contactors Inspected & cleaned
Worn contacts and loose wire connections can lead to motor or compressor failure.
5. Unit Wiring Inspected & loose connections tightened
Loose connections can lead to a motor, control, or compressor failure.
6. Temperature & Pressures Taken & recorded
An accurate record of your equipment's vital data can indicate potential problems, which can be eliminated. A record will be kept with the unit which may reduce emergency service time.
7. Inspect Duct work
Ripped or disconnected duct causes higher utility bills and reduces efficiency of the unit.
8. Capacitors Tested
Bad capacitors can lead to compressor and motor failure.
9. Unit Disconnect Tested
A worn or over-heated disconnect blows fuses and is dangerous.
10. Lubrication Application to motors & bearings if accessible and needed.
Improperly lubricated rotating equipment will eventually fail.
11. Condensate Drain Checked to assure it is open
Algae and dust can plug a condensate drain which can cause extensive water damage to your furnace.
12. Air Filter Replaced at customer option ($10 Value)
A restricted air filter can cause your air conditioning unit to waste energy and shorten the compressor's life.
13. Voltage & Amp Draw of the blower motor, compressor & condenser fan motors checked & recorded
Improper voltage and amp draw increase operating costs and can shorten the life of any motor.
14. Thermostat Checked & calibrated
Improperly calibrated thermostats cause the unit to run longer than necessary. Every degree your air conditioner operates below 78 degrees can add 5%%-8%% to the cost of cooling.

Very happy with their service. They are professional, prompt, knowledgeable and honest. I called yesterday (labor day) and Mr. Jose answered and scheduled me in the very next day (today). He fixed the problem within 15 mins at most and left my AC running again. He also suggested to replace the vents so we can avoid further issues. My parents are in their mid 60s to 70s and their air conditioner stopped working and I didn’t know who to turn to I found Cool Tech on the web and read the reviews. I called and Emily was very pleasant to talk to I explained what happened and she understood what I needed. Emily called back and said her technician was in the area and could stop by for an inspection. Jose showed up and went right to work he explained that my parents needed a new unit but also didn’t force the issue which was greatly appreciated he climbed back on top of the roof and was able to fixed the A/C. We had armondo come and service our heater im new home we bought the heater wasn’t working he came in looked at it see the problem fixed it and also went over and beyond by checking all the carbon alarm the fire alarms and installing new ones for us that had expired he also checked my filter and explained everything to me the price was the best part their prices are unbeatable. They installed a new a/c heater unit in our 30 year old home. The price was the best I could find. They were in and out in a day. No mess no problems.
